The link automatically detects interfering channels and frequency hops around them, so a busy site degrades throughput rather than dropping the link outright.
Interoperability
The Apexlink Pro speaks MAVLink and works directly with QGroundControl and Mission Planner, and it carries SBUS for vehicle control on the same link. A Type-C port lets you attach a smartphone for a live video feed. Practically, that means one radio link replaces a separate video transmitter, telemetry radio and RC receiver on an integrated airframe.
Link budget and range
Manufacturer range figures assume a clean electromagnetic environment and a properly matched antenna installation. Real range is governed by the link budget: transmit power, both antenna gains, feed losses and the receiver sensitivity above. The −115 dBm figure at 2 MHz bandwidth is the number to plug into a range calculation, and it applies at that bandwidth rather than at the full 20 MHz.
