This unit can be paired with Aomway apexlink equipment. The drone’s 1080P60 video is first transmitted over the wireless link to the ground VRX; the VRX HDMI output feeds the transmit end of the optical module, which converts the signal into an optical signal. The video then travels over a single fiber to the receiving end up to 60 km away, where the optical module’s receive end outputs 1080P60 over HDMI to a monitor. In the same way, the repeater’s UART port accepts the RC control signal and carries it over fiber to the ground end 60 km away, which then uploads it to the drone over the wireless link — delivering video downlink and control uplink together.

Thanks to the extremely high bandwidth and zero-interference nature of fiber, a single fiber can simultaneously relay 12 channels of 1080P60 video and 12 channels of drone control uplink.

If Ethernet communication is used instead, the wireless link can be connected to a switch once it reaches the ground, enabling Layer 3 network communication and regional mesh networking, which further extends the repeater’s communication potential.

The images show a module with a single video channel and a single control channel; the system can be expanded to 12 devices connected at the same time.

If you need even stronger anti-interference capability, the Aomway apexlink communication mode can be switched to one-to-many. In this mode, multiple ground VRX units can receive the picture from a single transmitter, so even if one ground end is jammed, the HD picture can still be returned through another nearby ground end — greatly improving the anti-jam capability of the entire system.
